Chamber President & CEO, Chris Steinocher and past Chamber Chairman, Greg Holden welcomed over 170 members and Rowdies fans. Greg introduced and thanked Danielle Findley, President & CEO of Florida Print Solutions, who has been the event's presenting sponsor for the past three years. Mayor Rick Kriseman's welcome created a great energy in the crowd, offering that the "Tampa Bay Rowdies are synonymous with St. Pete"; fans agreed.
Bill Edwards and Rick Baker got the crowd excited about the home opener on Saturday, March 25th and the #MLS2StPete campaign. The fun continued with a Q & A session with a few of the Tampa Bay Rowdies leadership and players including:
Matt Pickens, Goalkeeper
Luke Boden, Defender
Neill Collins, Defender
Stuart Campbell, Head Coach
As Chamber members enjoyed a delicious lunch provided by Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, and cookies donated by Chick-fil-a 4th Street, Rowdies players spoke about their excitement to be in St. Petersburg, how our city differentiates itself from others and how they are looking forward to kicking off the season.
Tash Elwyn joined his Rowdies Council Co-Chair onstage to tell members about the efforts of the Council, and picked a winner for an autographed Rowdies scarf.
