Last year in April, Debbie Hunt FDOT Director Transportation Development, gave a presentation on the Tampa Bay Express Project (TBX) and the Howard Frankland Bridge replacement at the St. Petersburg Area Chamber of Commerce’s Transportation Task Force meeting, which is when Chamber members first learned about how four lanes would be reduced to three lanes and a toll lane on the new Howard Frankland Bridge.
FDOT is holding two public hearings about the bridge replacement. The first will be in St. Petersburg on Tuesday, Oct. 4, at the Hilton St. Petersburg Carillon Park, 950 Lake Carillon Drive, St. Petersburg, FL 33716. The event will be an open house from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., with a formal presentation at 6:30. On Thursday, Oct. 6, FDOT will hold another public hearing at the Tampa Marriott Westshore, 1001 North Westshore Boulevard, Tampa, FL 33607. That event is also from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., with a formal presentation at 6:30.
