The Chamber has made transportation a major priority; it attracts developers, attracts talent, and helps the economy grow. This award to complete the final design completes PSTA’s #1 legislative priority and puts the $16.5M project on track to apply for Federal and State grants. The high-speed transit service is expected to be initiated by 2020. This is a huge economically progressive step for St. Petersburg. “We are in a global race to become the most attractive place in the world to live and work,” said Chris.
St. Petersburg seems to be well on its way to becoming that, and this new BRT system will certainly attract developers, residents, and tourists. Chris concludes by stating, “We all want to continue to leave a legacy for our children, and I am just so glad that all that work has paid off in an announcement like today.” Chris thanks PSTA for continuing the leadership that it takes to build a great community.
