PREVIOUS COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECTS:
VALSPAR CHAMPIONSHIP
SPYP volunteers roamed the golf course this year as Color Scouts, identifying brightly-dressed spectators at the tournament and handing out a variety of prizes.
The KIND MOUSE
The mission of the Kind Mouse is to assist families in transition and their chronically hungry children. SPYP volunteers assisted with the Mouse Nibbles program as well as Jane’s Pantry by preparing and organizing food packages for the hungry children in Pinellas County.
BINGO NIGHT & ICE CREAM SOCIAL
SPYP provided entertainment and companionship to the Apollo Health and Rehab Center with bingo and an ice cream social! Most of the residence at the Apollo Health and Rehab Center are elderly and always enjoy some outside company.
PET PAL'S PUPPY LOVE EVENT
Pet Pal's Puppy Love Event is their largest fundraiser of the year. It is vital to the day-to-day operation of their facility, providing much needed funds for the care and recuperation of the animals.
BABYCYCLE
Babycycle is South Pinellas County’s only community diaper bank. Their mission is for no
child to go without necessities like diapers, wipes, clean clothing or food. Volunteers helped screen items for quality, sorting them appropriately, and bundling them to go out for distribution which is the 2nd Thursday of each month.

PACK A SACK
It is estimated that 7,000 children in our community are chronically hungry. Most receive free breakfasts and lunch at school, but may not have access to any food over the weekend. The Pack a Sack Program provides children with food for these weekends. Several organizations in Pinellas County participate in weekend food programs for children. St. Petersburg Free Clinic program provides 12 healthy items, including shelf stable milk and juice, all packaged so that a child can serve himself.
