Sunnyday Mercantile is an online gift boutique specializing in beautifully curated gift boxes. Sunnyday Mercantile covers every angle to make gifting easy, so you can gift well and gift often.

Owner Courtney Lauderdale recently released the St. Pete Day gift box. This box is a celebration of all the awesome things being made and being done in The Burg. The first release of this bi-annual gift box is filled with local tastes and smells produced by some of St. Petersburg’s most creative makers.

A St. Pete Day would not be complete without giving back to the community that inspired this box. Sunnyday Mercantile has partnered with Edible Peace patch, an amazing organization working to eliminate poverty as a condition of educational success by building gardens, feeding families, and expanding minds. 10% of each St. Pete Day box sold will be donated to Edible Peace Patch.

Sunnyday Mercantile offers a unique assortment of curated gifts from the best makers, beautiful packaging, and thoughtful details, all combined with the ease of buying online. All gift boxes are shipped 2-day priority anywhere in the US or delivered for free in St. Pete. Sunnyday Mercantile also does custom orders of any scale for corporate gifting, weddings and much more.

When asked how the business was created, Courtney Lauderdale said, “My business started like many others, I was simply trying to find a solution for a problem where one did not exist.  For me the opportunity was a place where I could shop for gifts that were curated from an assortment of unique brands, carefully edited and pulled together in beautiful packaging, while feeling thoughtfully detailed and designed. Think personal shopper, meets graphic designer, meets your most sincere friend.  It started with requests from friends and family to make gifts for them, then from word of mouth business became more frequent. I knew I had an idea, and after a year of development my online shop went live in May of 2016.  My goal is to refine the art of gifting so that it is easy for anyone to give well and give often.”

Lauderdale chose St. Pete because it is a wellspring of great makers and creatives. “When I first started curating gifts I would gravitate towards product from my favorite brands, many which are based here in St. Pete. Promoting and utilizing local makers has been a key part of my branding and company mission.”
