Suskey Consulting is a boutique government affairs consulting firm with offices in Tallahassee and St Petersburg. Alan Suskey formed his company around the vision of serving clients from Pinellas County and the Tampa Bay region in Tallahassee. This specific focus allows Suskey Consulting to concentrate on the needs of the bay area and the challenges the region faces.
A sixth-generation Floridian, Suskey has built an advocacy career representing world-renowned research institutes, technology companies, small businesses, and clients in both Tallahassee and Washington, D.C.
After eight years on active duty with the US Army, Alan started his advocacy career in the office of Congressman Bill Young, former Chairman of the Appropriations Committee and Chairman of the Appropriations Subcommittee on Defense. Upon leaving D.C., he took a position as the External Affairs Director of SRI International’s St Petersburg institute. In that role, he managed federal, state, and local legislative policy to include research-based appropriations requests in excess of $7M annually.
In 2010, Suskey joined now Congressman David Jolly in founding Three Bridges Advisors, a boutique federal, state, and local advocacy firm. He led the Tallahassee office for Three Bridges and managed all aspects of the state affairs practice.
Suskey Consulting has worked on behalf of a number of area businesses including the Rowdies, Mahaffey Theater, PSTA, and the Warehouse Arts District. If you or your company have a policy or funding issue in Tallahassee they would love to talk with you. They pride themselves on their local affiliations, and look forward to continuing to advocate for St. Pete!
