In September, 55 business and community leaders of St. Petersburg will head to St. Paul and Minneapolis, Minnesota, to talk transportation, affordable housing, arts, and other economic development initiatives during the St. Pete Chamber’s annual Thinking Outside the ‘Burg benchmarking trip. Trip Co-Chairs Jeff Baker, Duke Energy, and Tina Fisher, Fletcher & Fisher, are looking forward to highlighting these issues from the regional perspective of the twin cities.

The Chamber launched Thinking Outside the ‘Burg four years ago under the leadership of Greg Holden, Manning and Napier. Holden had a vision for a program that would not only allow us to learn from what other communities are experiencing, but enable our members to build lasting relationships with other attendees. This opportunity has allowed the Chamber to visit Raleigh/Durham(NC), Columbus (OH), and Kansas City (MO).
