On May 20th, twenty-seven of St. Pete’s finest entrepreneurs celebrated their successful completion of the Florida Print Solutions Inc. Entrepreneurial Academy presented by Everyone Needs a Coach. Taught by business leaders in the community, The Entrepreneurial Academy® is a ten-week course that guides existing and future entrepreneurs through the essentials of owning a successful business.
Celebration was in the air as Chamber Ambassadors, Board Members, friends and family of the graduates arrived for a casual, St. Pete-centric commencement ceremony at Pinellas Ale Works brewery. Delicious pre-function hors d’oeuvres were provided by Bayou Catering before the program kicked off with a graduation address from Mayor Rick Kriseman. Kriseman spoke highly of the graduates and the City’s commitment to serving and supporting them as entrepreneurs and small business owners investing in our community.
The night continued on a high note with a keynote address from local entrepreneur, Kyle Taylor, of the Penny Hoarder, who delivered a retelling of his own entrepreneurial journey with an overarching message that encouraged the graduates to embrace fear and identify the mission they are passionate about serving, in order to be fulfilled and successful.
Graduates of the Entrepreneurial Academy received complimentary Start Up level memberships to the St. Pete Chamber of Commerce. During the presentation of certificates, graduates took time to speak about their experience in the program and what’s next for them and their businesses.
“It is our privilege and honor to work with the incredible entrepreneurs of this community. These twenty-seven graduates are great examples of what makes St. Pete such a dynamic community,” said Sean Kennedy, VP of Entrepreneurship and Community Development and co-manager of the St. Petersburg Greenhouse.
