The Leadership St. Pete® Class of 2020 has selected Family Resources, Inc. as the recipient of the 2020 Class Project

The mission of Family Resources is to inspire well-being and success in the lives of vulnerable children, youth and families through responsive quality programs and safe places.

All funds raised for the 2020 Class Project will be applied to transforming the indoor and outdoor spaces at the Family Resources, Inc. Safe Connections Resource Center into a warm and welcoming space for vulnerable youth in our community. Families Resources works with a street outreach team to meet homeless youth where they are, identify their needs, and help connect them to needed resources. The Center will help youth, ages 16-24, head toward a path of hope and stability, where before there was none.

A shower, a bed, and food. I’ve probably cried three times just because I know I don’t have to go looking for these things … I don’t have to deny my meals to get these things.

The LSP Class of 2020 is thankful to have the opportunity to support youth in our community by partnering with Family Resources to bring to life their vision for the Safe Connections Resource Center.

At the completion of the Class Project, the Resource Center will provide homeless and unaccompanied youth, ages 16-24, with access to vital tangible resources such as food, hygiene items, showers, and laundry. Serving as a warm and welcoming space, with the support of caring adults, the Resource Center will allow them a safe place to build a sense of community.

Members of the LSP Class of 2020 identify as leaders and visionaries in our community. Our hope is that this space brings a sense of home to youth who need it most, and builds them into the next generation of leaders.

Support the Project

In order to make this vision become a reality, the Class of 2020 is seeking donations from individuals and businesses of both direct financial support and in-kind donations.

Thank you for supporting the LSP Class of 2020 and this impactful community project.
