In business for more than three decades, CP Communications has earned its reputation as a leading provider of live event broadcast production solutions. From its humble beginnings as a walkie-talkie company, CP Communications has evolved into full-service media production, engineering, and equipment rental firm, with a client list that includes many of the world’s major broadcasters (ABC, CBS, NBC, and FOX), sports leagues and teams, and event production companies.
In April 2019, CP Communications relocated its headquarters to a state-of-the-art, 31,000-square-foot facility in St. Petersburg, Florida, bringing its expertise and innovations to the Sunshine State. CP also operates a New York location, which houses field shops, engineering, and local production facilities. CP Communications’ core services include broadcast production, AV/event production, systems integration, and equipment sales and rentals.
Kurt Heitmann, CP Communications’ Chief Executive Officer, said, “The Tampa Bay area is among the fastest-growing technology and business hubs in the country, and we discovered that St. Petersburg had plenty of flexible industrial space to fit our needs. In addition to housing our mobile units, we can bring remote sources from live events into our facility and cut live to on-air content. We will also accommodate global monitoring capabilities of remote productions from our network operations center, as well as live voiceovers, editing, and many other production tasks.”
Introducing Red House Streaming
The move to St. Petersburg also allowed the company space for a new endeavor – innovating digital media. In November 2020, CP Communications launched its new subsidiary, Red House Streaming, a professional studio, network operations center (NOC), and product line, which represents the cornerstone of the company’s growing in-house production business.
Heitmann calls the 24/7 production studio “the crown jewel of the new facility.” It serves as the central production hub for clients in the broadcast and professional audio/visual space, including Emmy award-winning journalist Sarina Fazan, who broadcasts her weekly podcast, “On The Record With Sarina Fazan” from the studio’s anchor desk. Red House Streaming’s current TV and video production clients also include The Laugh Academy, The Switch and Venn, Verona Productions, CBS Sports Network, B-Live, and Carr-Hughes Productions.
The NOC, staffed with experienced Red House Streaming technicians, can remotely manage all production and content delivery tasks, allowing clients to produce more content at a lower cost and with little to no engineering required. Each and every one of CP’s experts is dedicated to providing the highest-quality, highest-value service.
The Red House Streaming ecosystem is tailored for live-streamed events, providing affordable and accessible solutions for digital content creators. With a mission of supporting, enabling, and simplifying the creation and delivery of broadcast quality media content, Red House Streaming truly allows anyone to “Dream It. Shoot It. Stream It.”
