The Shine’s on Goldman Wetzel

Proudly serving the St. Pete community for more than a decade, Goldman Wetzel has built a reputation for providing aggressive and effective legal representation to those facing a range of criminal offense charges, from DUIs to serious crimes. They’ve even been known to take calls now and again from fellow defense attorneys, seeking the legal opinions of the firm’s founders; Summer Goldman and Maribeth Wetzel.

Partners Summer and Beth founded Goldman Wetzel in 2009 with a mission to render effective legal services to sunny St. Pete and the Tampa Bay area. Both Ms. Goldman and Ms. Wetzel have committed their careers to practicing law in the criminal justice system. Combining their unique experiences as a former prosecutor and public defender, respectively, they ultimately joined forces to form one of St. Petersburg’s most capable firms.

“We work together on all of our cases, so when you hire us, you don’t just get a lawyer, you get a team,” said attorney Summer Goldman. “This approach allows us to provide a unique service to our clients. They can rest assured that no stone is left unturned and that we have checked for all possible blind spots in their case.”

The women-owned and led business understands and puts their clients’ needs first in the effort of reducing risk as much as possible and protecting the rights of those accused. The team-based approach at their criminal defense law firm has proven to be a winning formula — allowing them to help more clients and maximize the impact for the best possible outcome.

This may all come as a surprise if you were to walk into their office. While a serious place of business for serious legal matters, you might be first greeted by smiling staff or the wagging tails of Goldman Wetzel’s “legal interns”, currently consisting of two labrador retrievers, Luna and Miss Gunner, as well as Salty, a boxer with the funniest dog faces you can imagine.

“Having our dogs in the office brings levity to an often serious situation.  We put our clients’ needs first, and if they are comfortable with the dogs, we will bring them in to offer a bit of stress relief.”

Both Summer and Beth like to stay involved in their local community, from sponsoring events and supporting local organizations, with a particular soft spot for dogs and youth. Among other causes, Summer and her husband were a “big couple” up until recently through Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tampa Bay. Their “little brother” is now 19 and they continue to be a part of his life. Beth dedicates a lot of her spare time and energy to raising future service dogs with Southeastern Guide Dogs. You can follow Goldman Wetzel on Facebook to see some adorable photos of the dogs they help when a furry friend is in need.

Goldman Wetzel is invested in helping others now and for many years to come. From supporting great causes in their beloved home of St. Pete to delivering first-class legal representation to clients. If you or a loved one is facing criminal charges, the firm has three offices serving the Tampa Bay area including Pinellas, Hillsborough, Pasco, Sarasota and Manatee counties.
