In business since January 2020, TruWell Health offers treatment alternatives to surgery. Initial consultations are complimentary with board certified physician, Dr. Lora Brown. TruWell Health offers advanced treatment with modern technology, such as digital motion x-rays onsite and pinpoint-accuracy injections. TruWell Health’s treatments offers patients the opportunity to obtain same day relief through their patient-centered approach to care.
Dr. Brown initially founded a separate practice prior to TruWell Health in St. Petersburg, that specializes in pain management intervention through medical cannabis. While operating AMRX (Access Marijuana-a medical cannabis practice), Dr. Brown noticed that many older patients in the St. Petersburg area suffered from arthritis, specifically osteoarthritis. She discovered that there was a gap in the market for treating the underlying causes of osteoarthritis at the source, rather than masking the symptoms that accompanied the condition – inspiring the concept of TruWell Health.
Dr. Brown chose to establish both of her practices in St. Pete because she grew up here and can now remain close to family and friends. She enjoys the relationships she’s made in St. Petersburg, as well as the culture.
TruWell Health: Arthritis Solutions accepts many major insurance plans, including Medicare, Tricare, and Cigna. They have an entire care team dedicated to guiding each patient through the appropriate non-surgical treatment protocol, including a pain management intervention specialist, an orthopedic surgeon, and physical therapists. Patient treatments at TruWell Health follow a comprehensive plan, with multiple modalities of care. This ensures that the treatments work more effectively and have lasting results.
TruWell Health understands that many patients may be hesitant to enter new spaces due to the COVID-19 pandemic. They have employed several measures in-office to protect their patients, including mandatory mask usage, patient prescreening, staggered scheduling, and more frequent sanitization to minimize the spread of germs and patient-to-patient interaction.
