As storms become more frequent and severe, the St. Petersburg Area Chamber of Commerce is committed to helping our community stay prepared, resilient, and informed. This Storm Mitigation and Recovery Resource Page brings together critical information and tools to support businesses and residents before, during, and after a storm. From preparation checklists and emergency contacts to recovery assistance, business support, and volunteer opportunities, this page connects you with trusted resources from local, state, and federal partners.
You’ll also find our Chamber Member Storm Resources Guide, highlighting local businesses offering essential storm-related products and services. Storm Resiliency Education

Lee County Trip
In one of the country’s most vulnerable areas, the St. Petersburg Area Chamber of Commerce led the community on a trip to Lee County in 2023 to learn from the chambers and cities still recovering from the devastation caused by Hurricane Ian.

State of the Island Event
The St. Pete Chamber organized The State of the Island trip in May 2025, a collaborative forum designed to assess the current conditions, share updates, and establish a clear path forward for the island’s restoration and future stewardship.

Resilience Planning: Before the Storm
As the 2025 hurricane season began, the St. Petersburg Area Chamber of Commerce convened business leaders and experts for Resilience Planning: Before the Storm — a timely and practical event focused on helping local businesses prepare for, withstand, and recover from major disruptions.
